Zunächst einmal, was ist ein Book of Shadows oder kurz BoS? Um es so einfach wie möglich auszudrücken, es ist das Tagebuch eines Wicca/einer Hexe, gefüllt mit allem, was auf dem eigenen Weg als wichtig erachtet wird.
Warum heißt es Buch der Schatten? Es gibt ein paar Theorien, aber im Wesentlichen ist es ein Buch, das anderen Menschen verborgen bleibt und voller Geheimnisse und Mysterien ist. Und ja, normalerweise ist ein Buch der Schatten ziemlich privat und würde von niemand anderem als von sich selbst gelesen. Aber das liegt natürlich an Ihnen, wenn Sie Ihre BoS teilen möchten – wie ich viele auf Instagram und YouTube gesehen habe – dann lassen Sie sich von niemandem sagen, dass Sie es nicht tun sollen!
Wo soll man anfangen?
Alles, was Sie brauchen, ist ein Schreibmedium. Ein Notizbuch, ein Tagebuch oder sogar Ihr Telefon oder ein Blog funktioniert! Wählen Sie, womit Sie sich am wohlsten fühlen. Und ja, Sie KÖNNEN mehrere haben, zum Beispiel habe ich einen für sehr organisierte grundlegende Informationen, einen anderen für meine Rituale und Zaubererfahrung und noch einen für Träume (der auf meinem Telefon ist!)
Es liegt wirklich an Ihnen, seien Sie so kreativ, wie Sie wollen! Zögern Sie nicht, Ausschnitte einzukleben oder es minimal zu halten, was auch immer funktioniert.
Was gehört zu einem BoS?
Wirklich alles, was Ihrer Meinung nach auf Ihrer Reise wichtig ist! Ich möchte, dass die ersten paar Seiten allgemeineres nützliches Wissen enthalten, wie zum Beispiel The Wiccan Rede, die Elemente, die Runen, die Grundlagen der Tarotkarten, die grundlegenden Umrisse eines Rituals und natürlich die Sabbats und die Gottheiten, mit denen ich arbeite. Vielleicht machen Sie ein Brainstorming darüber, was Sie in Ihr Buch der Schatten schreiben möchten!

Eine Anmerkung zu Book of Shadows vs. Grimoires:
Ein Grimoire ist eher ein allgemeines Buch und wird im Vergleich zu einem Buch der Schatten oft als weniger persönlich beschrieben. Ein BoS enthält oft Träume, durchgeführte Rituale, einen Buchsegen und so weiter, während ein Grimoire vielleicht nur Korrespondenzen usw. enthält. Aber natürlich sind sie sich immer noch sehr ähnlich und wenn Sie den Begriff Grimoire BoS vorziehen, dann zögern Sie nicht benutze das stattdessen!
