Belladonna Seeds pack

Belladonna seeds, from the year 2024/2025. 
The mother was grown from seed and raised in my garden beds, the dried berries harvested for the seeds in 2025. 

Use for ornamental growing only. 

Belladonna, Deadly Nightshade or Dwale as she was known in history, was believed to be an important part of the witches’ brews of antiquity. 

Her energy can be described as seductive, alluring, ensnaring even. The Lady of Death. Her roots strangle out any competition. She is associated with Bellona, Goddess of War.

Growing Guide:

Light, permeable and chalky soil is the most suitable for this crop. She likes shady spots and indirect sunlight. She requires cold stratification, use a coffee filter to keep her seeds protected and fill a zip lock bag with water to leave the seeds soaking for 4 weeks in the fridge. Swap out the water every two days (the water is poisonous, caution is advised). Then sow directly into small pots and keep the soil lightly moist. May take 2-8 weeks to germinate. Warmth is necessary for germination, so plant either after the last frost or keep in a warm room/use warmth lamp or heating pad. 

Belladonna is a highly poisonous plant, working with her can be daunting. Please handle with a lot of care, I use gloves when touching any part of the plant. Use gloves if you have cuts or abrasions on the hands. Absolutely under no circumstances ingest, it can be fatal. If touched barehanded, immediately wash with soap and water. If ingested, immediately call your local emergency services. Do not grow where children or pets can reach her.
